Welcome to my technical pages. The information, thoughts, opinions and other general knowledge contained herein have been accumulated for my own personal gain as I travel along on my Kenpo journey. In no way do I claim to be an expert in the art of Kenpo or any other martial art system or style. I am simply a student and I have found this information to be useful to me as I gain knowledge and move along through my art. Perhaps you will find this information useful and enlightening as well.
Some of you are probably asking who I am and why I am doing this. I am a student of the Triangle Kenpo Institute (TKI for short) and I study a style known as Chinese Kenpo as developed by the International Karate Connection Association (or IKCA). Literally translated, the term Kenpo means “Fist Law” or “Law of the Fist” and is generally a stand up system of fighting that lends itself well to mixing or “grafting” with other arts, such as Hapkido or Jujitsu.
Click here for a brief history on the IKCA.
My instructor in Kenpo is Sifu Bill Parsons of TKI, located in Raleigh, NC. He has a diverse background and experience in both Kenpo and Korean arts such as Hapkido. I find him to be an exceptional instructor and have learned an enormous amount from both him and the quality students he produces. Is this a biased statement? Yep, it sure is. It also happens to be true. Follow the links for more information on TKI and the other associations named above.

The navigation links are pretty self explanatory. If you would like to leave feedback on any given topic, please visit my blog site and give your input there. I’m all for free speech and democracy and I look forward to hearing from you. However, I have a young child to set an example for and I will remove or edit content that I deem inappropriate. With that, I am done rambling on here. Have fun checking out the site and be sure to check back on a regular basis. I developed this site as a method for me to review my own notes and information from wherever I may be in the world. As it turns out, there are others that find it useful too so please enjoy.
