This web site is an information repository of personal notes, links, and other items of reference that I have found useful in my study of Kenpo. For visitors to this site that don’t know me, I am currently a student in the I.K.C.A. system of Chinese Kenpo. I study locally with a great group of students instructed by Sifu Bill Parsons at the Triangle Kenpo Institute (TKI) in Raleigh, NC.
Though our core studies are based in Kenpo, we supplement our training with strengths from other disciplines as well, such as Hapkido and Jujitsu. The notes on training and definitions herein are based on these combined principles.
The site is divided into several areas:
- Technical Journal – An area containing technical descriptions of techniques, maneuvers and other aspects of my training.
- Session Journal – An area where I log notes and reflections of individual training sessions going back to the very beginning of my training.
- Martial Library – A listing physical reference material related in some way to Kenpo or the martial arts in general.
- Photographs – A collection of photos taken from different Kenpo related events that I have attended or observed.
- Martial Wiki – A sort of online glossary of terms and phrases related to my studies. This area is under development.
- Links – On all pages, there are direct links at the top of each that go to both the Triangle Kenpo Institute and International Karate Connection Association home pages.
- Other Stuff – This area is under development but will eventually house links and information to other web pages, training supplies and other items.
Watch this space for updates and announcements for future events. Thanks for visiting!
Salute!
